version E of PeSIT protocol can be downloaded

The current version E of PeSIT protocol can be downloaded at www.pesit.org in english or french. This powerful protocol is usually presented as a file transfer protocol which enables sending a file from one server to another, so it’s immediately compared with FTP or SFTP.

The advantages of PeSIT over SFTP, are clear to IT managers that must transfer tens of thousands of different files per day for various applications. Unfortunately, the capabilities of managing a large file transfer service offered by this PeSIT protocol elude most IT managers.

A new site (www.pesit.net) will be launched where the users of this protocol will be enabled to exchange their experiences, propose its evolutions and organize a working group to ensure the sustainability of this precious standard. The only way to preserve the advantages of PeSIT is to keep it in the hands of the public.
